About Rant ‘n’ Rave.

Upon setting up this site, I was determined not to do a blog or a journal. So here is a blog/journal hybrid.
Rant ‘n’ Rave is a record of emotions. It’s a record of what I think is good and what I think is bad. Don’t expect it to be updated every day, cos it isn’t. It’s barely updated weekly. It’s just updated as and when I feel the need.
It the mission of the site sounds a bit crappy, tough. To be honest, I don’t care if no one reads this. It is just a convient way to store my views on certain subjects for prosperity. If people are interested, great! If not, ack who cares? After all, it ain’t costing me anything, apart from my time. It’s just making available publicly, what I would once have kept to myself.
Sounds thrilling eh?
About the name.
Why Rant ‘n’ Rave then?
The name dates back 1995 when I was at Hyde Clarendon College – a sixth form college seven miles east of Manchester. At Hyde we had a student magazine called Hydra, of which I wrote a fair few articles. One of these days I might get round to putting them online (that’s a threat).
One of my very first contributions was a sort of column called Rant ‘n’ Rave where I’d rant or rave about something. I think I did the problems of always getting deodrant at Christmas, and that awful TV show, How Do They Do That? Exciting stuff. I wrote a fair few until the summer of 1996 when I went to University.
When I set up BodsCentral in July 2002 I decided I liked the name enough to bring it back. It’s a similar idea to the original Hydra articles, just written better!
