First Day In The Broadcasting Centre

So on one side, I’m now working in a building which has not only the most sophisticated fire alarm system installed in any BBC building, but has also got the ability – with a few extra bits of equipment – to play out a whopping 500 TV channels all at once (it’s currently pumping out about 35). Oh and the room that houses all the equipment is completely self contained with its own separate oxygen supply.

On the other hand, we can’t turn the lights off because there’s only one remote control that can do it, and today it appeared to be broken. Oh and the coffee from the coffee machine is too strong.

There’s just no pleasing some people, is there?
