BBC Radio on Freesat

It’s been about a week since we actually launched it, but I’ve been a bit busy of late and I kinda forgot to mention it.

But now I am. We launched our first interactive service on the BBC’s radio stations on Freesat last week (30 September). And to avoid duplicating myself, you can read all about it on the BBCi Labs Blog (yes, it does need a rename now that BBCi as a brand is being phased out in favour of BBC Red Button).

What you won’t see over there is this bit cos it’s a bit of an end of an era, as the Freesat team is no more – having disbanded with our latest launch. Whilst I’m maintaining my role as Product Overload for the Freesat platform, the next piece of work being developed for BBC Red Button on Freesat is being built by a cross-platform team.

There will inevitably be a new Freesat team in the future, but for me, it’s other projects as I go off to dabble with Charlie and Lola, Iggle Piggle and the Green Balloon Club. But that’s another story.
